Masterclass: Coaching and Trauma with Julia Vaughan Smith and Jenny Rogers
This Masterclass is for experienced Coaches who have some awareness of trauma and want to deepen their trauma informed practise. We will clarify what trauma is and provide a simple, accessible, model (The Split in the Psyche model developed by Professor Franz Ruppert) and draw on neurophysiology to help your understanding the complexity of trauma. We will show how coaches are already meeting the symptoms of trauma in their practice, these do not only arise in therapy, and are more common that many realise. We provide practical exercises and guidance for how to respond within a coaching frame and how not to cross the boundary into therapy, unless you are an integrative practitioner and trained to work therapeutically. We move from the theory into exploring application to our coaching work. This is now such an important area for Coaches, and this Masterclass offers an opportunity for further professional development. Those who have attended have all said it changed their practise in ways that were very valuable to them and their clients.
